The Erasmus program was established in 1987 as a student exchange program. Its main intention is to develop the international cooperation between universities. The program supports cooperation of universities, enables students’ travel abroad to study and practice, promotes the mobility of university staff, provides opportunities for participation in international projects. Other institutions, organizations or enterprises also can participate in the program in collaboration with universities. The Erasmus network links 27 European Union countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and Croatia.
Opole University, Opole University of Technology and the Public Higher Medical Professional School are participating in the program.
In Erasmus, you can spend part of your studies at a foreign university in an international environment, you can undergo apprenticeship in a foreign company, get to know new people and other cultures.
